Each pair costs £235 ($395). I think it’s a pretty big sum of money for boots intended for walking through puddles. But this is exactly what both brands encourage us to do.
More than 4,000 fashion-conscious ladies have already joined a waiting list for the boots, which will hit the shelves on June 22. It is sure a success!
The great boots are made of glossy black rubber embossed with signature Jimmy Choo crocodile print. There is a gold buckle on the top and a leopard-print lining which is placed either on the inside of their presentation box.
Tamara Mellon, who is Jimmy Choo president, said:
I was inspired by images from the festivals of the hip Brit girls in their wellies’.
‘This led to our collaboration with Hunter to produce a sleek interpretation of the British classic.’
The chairman of Hunter, Peter Mullen, said:
‘We are delighted to work with Jimmy Choo to create a superbly sophisticated incarnation of our original Wellington boot.
‘Both brands have a strong visual identity - and the resulting boot has a unique DNA of luxurious practicality.’
The list of Jimmy Choo and Hunter new boot lovers include: a fashion icon Kate Moss, Rachel Bilson and Liz Hurley.
Boots will be sold in Jimmy Choo stores, website and in select wholesale accounts. Hurry up if you wish to own a pair!
