Immediately after she was sentenced to five days community service for hurting her maid, she flew to the witch doctor Tuca Franchini, a Father Saint of the Candomble sect, which worships African gods, in Rio de Janeiro.
Franchini, who is supermodel’s latest spiritual guru revealed that the catwalk queen has a “passionate” belief in the mystical faith.
Campbell came across Franchini two years back through a mutual friend, a follower from the Brazilian upper class.
Franchini insisted that he has never seen the supermodel in a loose temper and her main purpose of visit was to meet with the mayor to discuss her becoming a goodwill ambassador.
He said, “She got very interested in Candomble. She does not practise it as a faith, but she listens when I tell her the history because she is passionately involved in the roots of our African culture.”
However, her publicist has denied any such claims.
