NY testimony: Astor dissed Parker Bowles

The testimony Monday by longtime friend Vartan Gregorian, president of the Carnegie Corp., indicated a radical departure from the late socialite's gracious personality.

According to testimony, Astor told Parker Bowles that her great-grandmother would have been proud of her for "keeping this mistress business in the family."

Parker Bowles married Prince Charles in 2005.

Prosecutors accuse Anthony Marshall of taking advantage of his mother to plunder her $198 million estate. The defense says Astor was lucid and rational.

Marshall is charged with grand larceny.

Astor died in August 2007 at age 105.
