Tom Hanks & Rita Wilson Take the Stage in L.A.

"The Insider" headed to The Geffen Playhouse in Los Angeles Monday night to watch as Tom Hanks, Rita Wilson, Martin Short, Christina Applegate and other stars performed Shakespeare's "The Comedy of Errors." The stars also opened up about their reaction to Farrah Fawcett's courageous documentary "Farrah's Story".

"It's our 19th year of doing this," Rita Wilson says about the event. "It's an incredible event because we get actors sometimes who have never done Shakespeare before to get up on stage."

"We love Shakespeare, it is our roots," Tom Hanks adds. "Shakespeare Festival Los Angeles -- that's LA's Shakespeare company and we do anything we can in order to promote, and in order to get some people out there and raise some dough."

"The Comedy of Errors" was put on by Shakespeare Festival LA, a non-profit theater company that helps to raise funds to teach Shakespeare to kids in an effort to keep them off the street.

Although the night was about performing a comedy and raising money for the youth the stars' hearts weren't far from Farrah Fawcett. Actress Shirley Jones tells "The Insider" about the first time she met Farrah and that she commends the star for sharing her story in order to help others.

"When I did 'The Partridge Family' she made her debut in one of the episodes and that was the first time I met her," Shirley says. "I thought she was the most beautiful thing I ever saw in my life. I think what she did was an incredible job. I admire her tremendously for being able to show herself that way. I think it can be a great help to not only her but so many other people."

Arte Johnson, Eugene Levy, and Kelsey Grammer also came out for the Shakespeare Festival -- watch the video for more with the stars.
