CBS moves 'The Mentalist,' picks up 'Medium'

NEW YORK (AP) — Patricia Arquette is moving her psychic "Medium" character from NBC to CBS this fall.

CBS has a move planned for another crime-solver, too. The network says it will shift its hit show "The Mentalist" from Tuesday to Thursday nights.

Viewers can say goodbye to "Without a Trace," ''The Unit" and "11th Hour." CBS says it's canceling the three dramas.

The network will introduce new shows next fall with Julianna Margulies as a disgraced district attorney's wife and Jenna Elfman as a film critic who gets pregnant after a one-night stand.

  • OK, moving the Mentalist to Thur.night but why not put it on at the 8:00PM time slot prior to CSI. The 10:00PM hour is N/G for many of us that have to get up WAY early. Please rethink this and please don't cancel "Without a Trace.

  • It was obvious at Tuesday night's viewing of Without A Trace but CBS is making a big mistake by cancelling it. Why? It had a huge following and was a great show.I hope they bring it back at mid-season. Boo to CBS
