NEW YORK (AP) — John Legend held a benefit dinner for his Show Me charity, and celebrated the event with an intimate performance for his invited guests.The nonprofit aims to end poverty around the world and has already helped villages in Africa get clean water and better access to health care, education and the Internet.
Legend says he may not be able to end poverty alone, but that he's doing what he can as an individual to change the world.
Tuesday's event raised about $300,000.
