Olympian Kerri Walsh Welcomes Baby

Kerri Walsh, one of the most dominant volleyball players in the history of the sport, is a new mom!

Walsh and her husband, fellow pro volleyball player Casey Jennings, became parents to a baby son, Joseph, on Friday night in L.A., says People.com. The newborn weighed 8 pounds, 10 ounces.

"We could not be more thrilled to welcome Joseph into the world," Walsh tells the site. "It’s the most incredible feeling. We are already so in love with him and it’s such an amazing, special moment for our family."

Walsh and her volleyball partner, former “DWTS” competitor Misty May-Treanor, captured Olympic gold at the 2004 and 2008 Summer Games.
