Hollywood Stars Show Support for President Obama

President Barack Obama landed in Beverly Hills Wednesday along with Steven Spielberg, David Geffen, and Jeffrey Katzenberg for a special fundraising event for the Democratic National Committee.

The President spoke at the Beverly Hilton hotel and was very optimistic about his economic policy, and he thanked the donors and celebrities in attendance for their continued support, the Associated Press says.

Spielberg, Katzenberg, and Geffen hosted a dinner party that was held for the bigger donors.

Music sensation Jennifer Hudson and R&B group Earth, Wind and Fire were scheduled to perform at the event.

Tickets for the fundraiser sold for $1,000 to $15,200 and aides for the Democratic National Committee tell the AP that the event will net over $3 million.
