"American Idol" winner Kris Allen is set to perform a duet with a former presidential candidate!

The Arkansas native will sing The Beatles' classic song "Yesterday" on former Arkansas governor Mike Huckabee's Fox News Channel television show, says the Associated Press.

The 23-year-old "Idol"'s performance will air on Sunday, during which Huckabee plays backup bass for Allen.

"Maybe someday I could be the Governor of Arkansas, right?" Allen asked Huckabee, who replied: "It's a great gig. It really is."

Huckabee ran for the republican presidential nomination last year.

  • I love it! Kris was amazing on the Jimmy Fallon Show on Wed 27th..."AnnieWT," FRAUD? The real "FRAUD" was the judges bashings and degrading the much better talent, like Allison and matt(even Danny, Alexis and Megan), to the ground. You loved it...
