It’s the first time the Music Industry Trusts’ Award has gone to a woman.
Previous recipients include SIR ELTON JOHN and Beatles producer SIR GEORGE MARTIN.
Breast cancer survivor Kylie, 38, said yesterday: “It is an incredible honour. I’m thrilled to be recognised in this way.”
Organisers said the singer’s “determination to succeed, on and off the stage” was an inspiration.
She will be presented with the gong at a London bash on October 29.
