That remains to be seen, as Wednesday night's episode closed with their fate left in the hands of their co-stars, who seemed divided about allowing the controversial pair to return.
About their desire to come back, Heidi said, "We realized that we made a big mistake… we really took it for granted."
Her new husband Spencer said, "I lost my mind, I love all of those people. … I just looked at the whole experience the wrong way."
It was decided that if their co-stars agreed to allow them another chance, they would have to spend a night in the lost chamber to re-enter the competition.
But when the show's host, Damien Fahey, asked their co-stars whether they should be allowed to come back, it was unclear whether or not they would agree to it. When a vote was called, it appeared that only Janice Dickinson, Stephen Baldwin and John Salley raised their hands in favor of bringing the pair back.
The episode ended in a cliffhanger -- fans will have to tune in to find out whether Spencer and Heidi will continue on the show, which airs next on Thursday night at 8 p.m.
Also on Wednesday night's episode, actor Daniel Baldwin surprised his little brother Stephen by joining the cast.
