Neil Patrick Harris is set to host tonight's star-studded Tony Awards show that will feature performances by Dolly Parton, Liza Minnelli, Elton John, Stockard Channing and more.

Parton is nominated for a Tony Award for her Broadway show 9 to 5: The Musical, while John will also be vying for an award for Billy Elliot, The Musical, which swept this year's nominations with 15. Metal glam band Poison will also perform during the show with the cast of Rock of Ages, a tongue-in-cheek hair metal tribute musical.

Other major musicals up for Tonys are Next to Normal -- the story of a woman with bipolar disorder -- as well as the revival of Hair and Shrek The Musical.

Award presenters include Will Ferrell, Jane Fonda, James Gandolfini, Edie Falco, Carrie Fisher, Nicole Kidman, Anne Hathaway, Jessica Lange, Frank Langella, Angela Lansbury, David Hyde Pierce, Oliver Platt, Susan Sarandon, Kevin Spacey, John Stamos and Chandra Wilson.

The Tony Awards will be broadcast live tonight on CBS from Radio City Music Hall at 8 p.m. ET/PT.
