Kris Allen Sings National Anthem at NBA Finals

"American Idol" champ Kris Allen took the spotlight Sunday night before game two of the NBA Finals match between the Los Angeles Lakers and the Orlando Magic -- singing The Star-Spangled Banner before a packed house, including some of Hollywood's biggest celebs! Read on for details ...

Kris, wearing a black t-shirt and denim jeans, belted out the national anthem to cheers and applause. The crowd included stars Leonardo DiCaprio, Jack Nicholson, Zac Efron, Mark Wahlberg, Diddy, and Adam Levine.

Game three of the NBA finals will air June 9 at 9 p.m. ET on ABC.

Kris couldn't even sing "We Are the Champions" by Queen. Couldn't hit the high notes. But Adam sure did.

I love his beautiful rendition. So nice to see a singer really sing this song and not think you have to do runs with every other word. Most "artists"make the song about them rather than perform it in the heartfelt way Kris Allen did.
