Lisa Ling’s Sister Sentenced To 12 Years Hard Labor In North Korea
Lisa Ling’s sister, Laura, was sentenced to 12 years hard labor in North Korea along with fellow journalist Euna Lee over the weekend. The two were arrested in March by North Korean military officials, who claimed the women entered North Korean soil while reporting from China.

U.S. State Department spokesman Ian Kelley released this statement “We are deeply concerned by the reported sentencing of the two American citizen journalists by North Korean authorities, and we are engaged through all possible channels to secure their release.”

How scary for both girls! I couldn’t imagine being in their shoes at this moment, hopefully the US can reach an agreement with North Korea to release them.
