Danny Gans Cause of Death Revealed

"The Insider" has learned details about what caused the untimely death of legendary Las Vegas performer Danny Gans last month.

The Clark County Coroner's Office tells "The Insider" that Gans died of acute hydromorphone toxicity and chronic pain syndrome. The death was deemed to be an accident.

Gans died unexpectedly at his home in Las Vegas on May 1 at the age of 52.

  • Umm...did he overdose? It sure reads that why. The cryptic words they used. Reads like he OD'ed on Crystal Meth. Very sad. He was a nothing as an entertainer but very sad he died as a nothing as well.

  • I almost died from a toxic reaction to painkillers - a common OTC drug known as ibuprofen!! It was not an overdose - I hardly ever used the stuff, but it happened.
    All painkillers are potentially dangerous.

  • Basically an overdose of painkillers. These drugs really are dangerous if used incorrectly. Doctors should be required to do blood testing on occassion to check the levels of these drugs in the body. Such a sad story.

    • I think the key word there is used incorrectly. There's no reason to mandate such testing, especially when such deaths are rare and likely caused by drug abuse.

      I think the better thing would be to use the drugs as prescribed.
