Sedgwick on Madoff: 'We did not lose everything'

LOS ANGELES (AP) — Kyra Sedgwick and her actor-husband, Kevin Bacon, were among the many victims of the massive Ponzi scheme run by financier Bernard Madoff.

The 43-year-old actress, who stars on TNT's "The Closer," says that although she and Bacon lost "hard-earned money" that they thought was "in a safe place," they didn't lose everything.

Says Sedgwick: "It's painful, but a lot of people lost a lot more."

She adds: "We have a lot of things to be grateful for in our life, and we never ever forget that."
