Ashlee Simpson and Pete Wentz Join NOH8 to Fight Prop 8

Here's to betting they can still sing like this! Ashlee Simpson-Wentz and Pete Wentz are the newest celebs to join the NOH8 campaign in the silent protest against Proposition 8, which banned gay marriage in California last November and was recently upheld in court.   In keeping with the style of the portraits by Adam Bouska, the pair appeared with NOH8 painted on their faces and duct tape across their mouths, symbolizing the stifled voices of those who support reinstating gay marriage.   Lets us hear your thoughts in the comments section: Will gay marriage become legal in California again and, if so, when?

  • NO! Domestic Partner and Marriage is far from equal rights. We were Domestic Partners in California...now one of the 18,000 Married in California. There is a world of difference in rights between the two. Even today...our marriage certificate...

  • If same-sex marriage ever is allowed, it will not be until the federal DOMA is repealed and the Supreme Court has ruled in a manner that requires all states to allow same-sex marriage. I don't believe that will be any time soon. Until then the...
