covers Rolling Stone that hits stands today. In his interview for the mag Adam goes out of the closet and talks about many things, but the cornerstone of his speech is, of course, his sexual orientation.

Adam goes on to say he realized he was gay when growing up as he “wasn’t like every other boy.”

[on American Idol] I was like, ‘I’m going to glue rhinestones on my eyelids, b–!’ Right after the finale, I almost started talking about [being gay] to the reporters, but I thought, ‘I’m going to wait for Rolling Stone, that will be cooler.’” Adam confessed. “I didn’t want the Clay Aiken thing and the celebrity-magazine bulls-.
