T.R. Knight Officially Out at Grey's

Sorry, O' Malley fans --- your hopes that George survives Grey's Anatomy's summer hiatus is about to flatline.

According to EW.com, the T.R. Knight's request to be let out his contract with the show three years early has been granted -- which means it's bye, bye Georgie boy.

T.R. had been very vocal about his displeasure with his lack of storyline, which was rumored to be a result of his tumultuous relationship with the series' creator, Shonda Rhimes. Shonda legally had until June 30 to decide whether or not George would survive getting smashed by that bus, but it seems she handed down the news he was waiting to hear just a little bit early.

So, T.R. got what he wanted --- whether or not us Grey's fans are happy about it -- but, now, what about Izzie? Is Katherine Heigl dunzo too?

Word on the street is that we should hear any minute....
