The R&B songstress, dressed in a black dress and pearls, appeared in court with her attorney.
The judge ordered that Rihanna and Brown may not come within 50 yards of each other, unless they are at an event, in which case they can come within 10 yards of each other. They are not allowed to have any written or telephone contact, or contact through a third party, and the order will remain in full effect for five years.
If Brown had not reached a plea deal, Rihanna had been expected to testify against Brown, after she was subpoenaed by the District Attorney's office. Brown pleaded guilty to one count of assault related to a domestic violence incident involving Rihanna in February. Brown's lawyer Mark Geragos told the AP that Brown was sentenced to five years of supervised probation and six months of community service.
