Angelina Jolie wants to improve her ties with father Jon Voight
Not many are aware the fact that Angelina Jolie is the daughter of legendary Hollywood actor Jon Voight. But for many years their relationship has been strained. The two seldom get in touch and they have hardly spoken for nearly five years. However, now Angelina wants to improve her rapport with father. May be she is feeling really lonely after her mother’s demise earlier this year.

Their relationship took a nosedive in 2002, when Voight said in an interview that Angelina is fickle minded and she tends to change her views very often. Angelina also felt that Voight cheated on her mother, Marcheline Bertrand, when he left her for other woman. But now the actress feels that it’s time to forget past bitterness and amend her ties with father.

Speaking on future relationship with her estranged father, Angelina Jolie said:

I am hoping my relationship with my father will be more private in the future. At the end of the day we both wish the best for each other and we’ll try to start communicating in some way.

It seems Angelina Jolie wants to improve her family ties in a holistic way, be it the plan to quite acting to nurture her kids or improving her ties with her father. All I can say is all the best Angelina for so many diverse roles and responsibilities.
