TV pitchman Billy Mays has passed away, the Associated Press reports. He was 50.

According to the AP, Mays, who is perhaps known best for his enthusiasm while pitching products in TV infomercials, was found unresponsive on Sunday morning by his wife, Deborah Mays. He was pronounced dead at 7:45 a.m.

Although it is not clear how Mays died, he said earlier he was hit on the head after a rough airplane landing Saturday, the AP reports. Mays' wife told investigators that he was not feeling well before he went to bed on Saturday night.

U.S. Airways confirmed to the AP Sunday that Mays was aboard a flight Saturday afternoon that made a rough landing and left debris on the runway.
