Janet Jackson Takes Stage at BET Awards at The Insider

Janet Jackson appears at the BET Awards to bring a special message from her family following the death of her brother Michael Jackson.

"My entire family wanted to be here tonight but it was too painful," a tearful Janet tells the audience.

"To you, Michael is an icon. To us, Michael is family and he will forever live in our hearts. On behalf of my family and myself thank you for your love. Thank you for all of your support. We miss him so much. Thank you so much."

I cryied with you in my home mj was family to me as well being that we were both raise up as jehovah witness i felt a closeness he will be sadlt missed.i love you mj janet and the rest of the family

Janet i feel sad. i know im mourning his death as well as other fans, but i also know i or any other fan, will feel the way your family and you feel. We may cry but you guys might break down, wi was you instead of him. Janet it was good to see you come out that night and I know it took a lot of courage. Thanks for sharing your grief along with ours. I always loved both of your music and it made me happy when I saw both of you dancing in the same video years ago and I think both of you are very talented. I will keep praying for you and the family.
