Musicians Pay Tribute to Michael Jackson

Less than a week after the death of Michael Jackson, music artists flood the BET Awards to pay tribute to the King of Pop. "The Insider" has the interviews and reactions to this sudden loss ...

"He was the greatest artist we ever had," Diddy tells "The Insider". "He really changed our lives. Your heart it just hurts. It feels like something is missing. A lot of other things -- life goes on. Life is not really going on with this man not being here."

From Jamie Foxx to Beyonce, artists paid tribute through performances and kind words.

Jackson passed away Thursday afternoon at the age of 50.

  • MJ was an amazing dancer and was blessed with a solid voice.
but do NOT call him or refer to him as a musician,, he did not play any instrument and he did not write music., do you think he took the guitar away from eddie van halen and showed him what to do? do you think he went into quincy jones and said no no all worng do it my way?> diddy.. yeah another amazing talent that has no clue what music is

Any one know who the funk brothers were?> no just the dancer gets remembered but Dont call this guy a musician

  • Michael where have you gone? Perhaps to find a kinder dawn.
Blue skies that bare no storms at all.
Everything there will surely begin to make sense.
In this place created for innocense.
You can be a child there, dancing from star to star, then walking on the moon.
There can certainly be no more feelings of doom.
    Lonlinesss is not a state.
You leave that baggage at the gate.
Values are not of the material type.
No need to make up for what you've lost no greed nor stressful hype.
You can find your stolen spirit there.
You can claim him without an evil stare.
Those left behind must repent of their sins.
Hidden deep behind those sneaky grins.
Speaking out now in this very dark time.
They knew if then, they would not get a dime.
Watch down upon this imperfect world hovering like a kite.
Sending signs of love to your three making their futures bright.
Farewell for now dear Michael, you will be remembered many ways.
A child to a man. Talented yes! but hard to understand..
I choose to remember you just like the springtime sun, warm and kind.
Helping new blooms their pedals to unwind.

    Nancy D. PGH.

  • Well I for one thought the BET Awards Show was a bust. I think they would have done a better job if they would have waited and did a true tribute. And what the hell was Joe Jackson doing there? His comments to CNN were not only inappropriate...but also self serving. He introduced his lawyer...then brought up his business partner and announced his record company as his sons dead body lays in a morgue. He certainly proved all the rumors to be true...what an ! The best performance and the best thing for me was the sexy, outstanding, and talented Maxwell. Now that was a performance! He still got it! And oh by the way…what the hell was Beyonce thinking…with her porn version of Ava Maria (I guess that’s the name of it) whatever it was she shouldn’t have.

Jamie Fox shame on you for announcing your tour date over and over…was this tribute to Michael Jackson or you. And why were you running around like you were on crack. I feel that you are very, very talented but your actions last night were just wrong. Get it together.
Lil Wayne and his crew with all of the profanity and the little tween girls on stage as you talk about your d---k come on people. BET shame on you. You have to know better. You have just earned one less fan.
