Michael Jackson had bought the estate in 1987 and turned it into an amusement park. He left the estate in 2005 after local authorities went through his beloved home looking for evidence to use against the singer in his child molestation case. Following his acquittal, he said he would never go back to live at Neverland, but kept a stake in the property up to his death last week, June 25, 2009.
Funeral details haven’t yet been announced.
Wow, I bet a lot of his fans will be flocking to Neverland this weekend to pay their respects. I think it’s great his admirers will get a chance to say goodbye to the King of Pop.
