In a Los Angeles cathedral that was filled with yellow, white and peach flowers, and in a service that included a rendition of "Amazing Grace" and bagpipes, Farrah's longtime love Ryan O'Neal and their son Redmond O'Neal read bible passages to say goodbye.
Redmond, who was allowed to leave jail for his mother's funeral, gave the first reading at the funeral, followed by a reading from his father, who said that his son did a beautiful job. Many mourners expressed their love and support for Redmond.
Easels at the back of the church displayed photos of Farrah, including one of her posing with her beloved son Redmond, who draped rosary beads over his mother's casket before it left the church.
Farrah's best friend Alana Stewart and Dr. Lawrence Piro delivered eulogies, while Ryan and Redmond served as pallbearers.
Farrah's father, James Fawcett, sat in the front pew of the cathedral, while Ryan's daughter Tatum O'Neal sat with Alana Stewart.
Other stars in attendance at Los Angeles' Our Lady of the Angels Cathedral included Marla Maples, Kate Jackson, "Ghostbusters" star Ernie Hudson, model Cheryl Tiegs, actors Garry Shandling and Dick Van Patten, as well as Dick's wife Pat Van Patten, and hairstylist Jose Eber.
