Nicole Richie Fights the Good Fight
During a court hearing today, Nicole Richie’s attorney announced they plan to fight her DUI charge; in other words, a not guilty plea from Nicole. This may prove to be difficult to fight, because Nicole reportedly confessed to police during her December arrest that she had taken Vicodin and smoked pot on the evening she drove the wrong way down an LA freeway.

A trial date was set for July 11. Because Nicole was previously convicted on DUI charges, she will face mandatory jail time if convicted again, which could possibly mean up to a year in jail.
