Just In: Michael Jackson Rehearsal Footage

"The Insider" has just obtained the footage from one of Michael Jackson's final rehearsals, shot just two days before his death on June 23.


The one minute and forty two second video shows the late singer wearing black pants, red shirt, gray blazer and red lipstick while performing his song "They Don't Really Care About Us" live.

He appears strong and when he finishes the song he is all smiles.

Show co-creator and director Kenny Ortega says, "It was an incredible night, it was electric, he was invested, he was rocking the house."

  • you know i would jut like to say michael was ready for this tour they only show this one song you need to see billie jean or some other rehersal song to really see him move it is so unfair to say he was stiff you dont know what part of the rehersal that this took place but i hop to god they make a dvd for this to be his last concert they have 100 hours of footage so lets see it then everyone can comment on it but best believe he was ready i know this much

  • ohhh my God look at this clip.. MJ was rockin i dont y but when i 1st heard th news i thought their is sth fishy about MJ's death.. we'll knw sooner or later.. i hope wht i'm thinkin is wrong.. its painful 2 knw tht some1 u luved didnt die naturally.. poor kids :(

  • So sad to see Michael Jackson rehearsing for what would have been an amazingly successful comeback. I don't believe Michael ever molested children. He smiled and looked like a child when he described what he would do with children , on Bashir's interview. Playing games with children and such. He was being the child he wanted to be and felt most comfortable with young boys as he felt inwardly. The media and others who wanted to defame Michael Jackson, for whatever reason) over-hyped the charges and united to bring Micheal Jackson. down permanently.
    So sad, to see him so electric and alive, and now he is gone and will be happy at last. I can envision Michael teaching others on The Other Side.

  • This video shows Michael Jackson doing what all performers know to well and that is what is called "Marking". He is deliberately not giving it his all because he is saving it for the big show. Further the official dress rehearsals were probably scheduled for the week prior to leaving for the UK in which reviewers, friends/family and others close to Michael would have attended in which he WOULD HAVE performed to his full greatness. Michael Jackson was marking in this video.
