Diane Dimond on the Latest Michael Jackson Updates

Funeral plans are moving ahead for Michael Jackson -- now, Diane Dimond, who has covered the King of Pop since 1993, talks to "The Insider"'s Samantha Harris about what we can expect.

Today, "The Insider" confirmed that there will be a public memorial for MJ on Tuesday at the Staples Center in Los Angeles.

"I know in the will and in the trust, you often provide for your own funeral services and your death taxes, but the way this is being planned, this is going to be, I think a multi-million dollar funeral. Who is going to pay for it? Probably the estate of Michael Jackson. The family doesn't have any money to speak of, so how are they going to pay for a multi-million dollar funeral? It has to come from his estate."

Diane also talks to Samantha about intimate videos of Michael as a parent, not a pop star, that aired exclusively on "Good Morning America" today.

"I think these videos help because what was the other vision in our mind? Him dangling Blanket off of the balcony," Diane says. "These videos show a very attentive father putting a puzzle on the floor with the kids, singing with the kids -- and just look at their faces. When they say, 'We love you, daddy,' it just melts your heart. They really mean it."

  • Hey diane, where's your story about Michael Jackson's autopsy results? Turns out he wasn't a drug addict doing a tail of cocaine and marijuana like you wished. and he wasn't an alcoholic. his organs were healthy and he was not 100 lbs. and he was a great father, its not a shocker. the only people who don't like michael are too stubborn or dense to see that he was a kindhearted human being. Get your facts straight and face the fact that you've been trying to pin michael down with your lies since 1993.

    Ok, on her report she had said that MJ's weight was 100lb (He was actually 136lb normail for someone his height and what he does) before he died. and that he was taking illegal drugs and drinking a whole lot. Well, read the autopsy from 10/1/09 I hope you'll know better from now on....

  • I can't stand her. Besides, the person who got to view the court documents and was inside the court room every day was Aphrodite Jones. She went in convinced Michael was guilty and it didn't take her long to change her mind. There are stories about DD that I won't even mention, but she does think she knows it all.
    Her and Nancy Grace are she-devils. The only person who onced worked for the media I will believe is Aphrodite Jones. (The Michael Jackson Conspriacy) There is no way in h*ll I'll be reading Diane Dimond's book. I want this woman fired so bad I can taste it!!!

  • I can not STAND this bitch. Diane Dimond is so unbelievably disgusting. All i have to ask her is "why?" Why do you have to make up such vicious lies. Would you like it if someone dedicated their lives to making you look bad? If the press told nothing but the truth about Michael, he would be almost completely uncontroversial. Michael's story goes to show you how incredibly ignorant and gullible some people are. And most of all, it goes to show you how stubborn people are. Micahel would correct rumors countless times.
