On Saturday, June 27th, the Ross School in East Hampton held their 1st Annual Pro-Am Tennis Tournament, hosted by legendary tennis player Jim Grabb, the former #1 doubles player in the world. The tournament kicked off at hour we don't usually see a lot of around here - a mind numbing 9 a.m. - when U.S. Rep. Timothy Bishop (D-NY) officiated the ribbon cutting ceremony and formally unveiled the Ross School's spectacular new tennis center. Professional tennis stars Todd Martin and Luke & Murphy Jensen played alongside Congressman Bishop and invited guests on this welcomed, rare day of sunshine. The tournament brought out celebrities like Rod Stewart’s son, Sean Stewart, as well as Kourtney Kardashian’s on-again/off-again boyfriend Scott Disick. After a delicious lunch and a touching tribute by Courtney Ross to her good friend Michael Jackson, Stewart and Murphy Jensen emceed the live auction and worked the crowd for big bids on items like a tennis racquet signed by tennis star Todd Martin, a day on a luxury yacht, and a party for 25 people that included a day of tennis at the new tennis center. By day's end, we had only a minor sunburn and the Pro-Am had raised over $20,000 for Ross School scholarships!

  • Congressman Tim Bishop needs to stop spending all of his time at ritzy celebrity functions and actually work to benefit his constituents.

    • Bishop is finished in 2010. He did exactly the opposite of what WE THE PEOPLE wanted. He said screw them , so in 2010 , we will be saying at the POLLS , "SCREW HIM"
