Larry Birkhead Fights with Debra Opri for His Money
There's no love lost between former client, Larry Birkhead and lawyer, Debra Opri. Birkhead is now asking for an injunction to be placed on Debra and her client trust account, to prevent her from accessing $600,000 in the account from Birkhead. According to Larry, he made the money on a deal with Bravo network and claims that Opri placed the funds into a trust account, without obtaining his authorization to do so, and then hit him up with a huge bill. As a result, he's suing her for it. Meanwhile, her legal representation at IMG seems to be leaving her high and dry, by indicating in a statement that they were unaware that Debra did not have Larry's consent to transfer the money.

Regan McGorry writes in a declaration that "Debra directed IMG, and in a telephone call directed IMG and Television Network [Bravo] to wire the initial payment of approximately $866,250 into her attorney client trust account. Debra informed me that she had full authority to have this money wired into said trust account."
That is just such a ridiculous amount of money that I can't really wrap my brain around it. I might have to try and convert it in my head to lattes and tuna fish sandwiches at Starbucks in order to fully comprehend just how much money we're dealing with here.
