Spain to Standardize Women's Fashion Sizes
Spain's government has reached an agreement with major fashion designers to standardize women's clothing sizes with the aim of promoting a healthier image. The program, designed by the Health Ministry, also stipulates that European size 46 no longer be labeled as a larger size, and prevents companies from using window displays featuring clothes smaller than a European size 38 (10 in Britain, 8 in the US). Last year, Spain's main fashion show banned some models on grounds they were too thin, saying their look encouraged eating disorders among young people. Take that Gisele Bunchen, you and your skinny genes.

In Vino Veritas?

The Sundance Film Festival is making news, but more for the ebahviour of the guest, than the calibre of the movies. An Australian news crew managed to get an interview with a boozed up Nick Nolte. Gossipistas will probabaly remember that Nolte was on the vanguard of the 'celebrity alocoholic movement' - jokingly known as DDAM- Drunk Drivers Against Mothers, and paved the way(no pun intended) for the likes of Mel Gibson and Danny DeVito. Notle was one of the 1st famous drunks to be featured in an mugshot Internet posting, though Nicole Ritchie would eventually follow. Incidentally, Nolte was the 1st person thatMel Gibson turned to, after his DUI arrest and racist tirade.

Now Nick starts the interview with a "Catcher In The Rye" moment. He lambastes his own profession as a pack of phoneys. Basically he said that all actors are lying liars who are paid to lie. That could be libel right there, since he makes them sound an awful lot like lawyers and politicians. However Nick doesn't stop, nor does he spare himself. He goes on to lament being over 70, complaining that he is no longer able to get an errection. Maybe that's why he'tin' the bottle so damn hard these days?
