Shakira: I Want To Have Lots Of Babies

Colombian pop star Shakira says that she would like lots of children, but doesn’t plan on getting married.

The 32-year-old Grammy winner known for her seductive dance moves says that she plans to focus on a family after October, which is when her as-yet-unnamed album is to be released.

“The fact is I’m not very traditionalist,” she told the Sunday Times. “We live together as husband and wife, we don’t need anything to make it official, especially not for the paparazzi or magazines.”

“Why fix things that aren’t broken?” She added. “But I do want to have lots of babies with him.”

Shakira spoke with the El Tiempo newspaper at her home in the Bahamas, where she says she goes barefoot all day. The newspaper published the interview on Thursday.

Shakira says she wants two kids, while boyfriend Antonio de la Rua would like three.

She said “My family and my friends remind me what’s real, which helps, and Antonio - he is a wise man. If I get a bit silly he brings me back and reminds me who I am.”
