"Britain's Got Talent" star Susan Boyle has recorded the first track for her upcoming album.

Taking a break from the "Britain's Got Talent" tour, Susan went into the studio to lay down the track for the first song for her upcoming album with Simon Cowell's team, according to People.

"She sounds fantastic on record," Cowell told the magazine. "She's so good, the album is not just going to be show tunes. We're going to take our time with this."

  • I had been looking forward to Susan's CD and bought one right away. Did I get a CD lemon? In several of the songs she is virtually drowned out by the "background" music. Her lovely voice should have been highlighted, but rather was detracted from by the cacophony--as my mother put it "it sounds like a traffic accident in the background!" Mine is SYCO music/Sony/Columbia. So bad they need to recall it. Sure wish I could have heard her lovely voice.

  • I have Susan's CD that I ordered awhile ago and listened to it yesterday over and over again; it's wonderful. My husband never heard her before and was touched so much by her voice as I am. I'm so happy for her and too bad we didn't hear her before or someone didn't discover her earlier. She has such a beautiful voice and sings with such feeling, it makes you cry.
