Michael Jackson Memorial Gets TV Coverage at The Insider

Breaking: Time, Date Confirmed for Michael Jackson Memorial

Tickets are at a premium to attend Tuesday's Michael Jackson memorial at the Staples Center, but there will be no shortage of coverage on TV.

ABC, CNN, MSNBC and E! Entertainment are all planning live coverage of the tribute to the King of Pop, according to the Associated Press.

Charles Gibson will handle the duties for ABC, CBS is sending Katie Couric, while NBC, which has no plans for live coverage, has set aside one-hour in primetime on Tuesday night for a special.

The wire service also reports that CNN will air the memorial on both CNN and HLN, as well as broadcast it internationally. Anderson Cooper, Larry King and Don Lemon will anchor for the main network.

Michael was an amazing talent and the world will never be the same. My sincerest condolences to the family and Michael's beautiful children. I will miss him SO much; his music was an inspiration for my singing. I remember dancing and singing to Thriller as a young girl. Now at 23, my some loves it too!I love you, Michael! May your music live on to inspire and change the world forever!

Wish i could say i was one attending the staples center...However, am thankful for the news overage on his memorial. I have always loved Michael Jackson, and I always stood by him and believed in him. I was hoping he would do a concert in New York, or New Jersey so I could finally see him live. I think it is sad that it took Michael Jackson’s death to finally receive the favorable press he so deserved. The press hounded him with negative and outlandish writings about him. All the wonderful things he had done for so many people were swept under the rug, only the ugly lies, and rumors were written to make money. Now they will need to find another escape goat to rumor about. I will miss Michael, I wish someone had the strength to hog tie him and put him in rehab along time ago. I pray for his happiness, and I pray that the press will leave his children alone. IS
