Farrah Fawcett's extensive cancer-fighting treatments were the subject of a NBC two-hour special, "Farrah's Story," now ET finds out who helped to pay for her health care.

A representative for 92-year-old financier Kirk Kerkorian told the New York Daily News' Rush & Molly that the billionaire "quietly" paid for "Charlie's Angels" star's cancer treatment.

"He just saw a friend in pain and wanted to help," a source tells the columnists.

Farrah succumbed to anal cancer on June 25.
