Ice Age and Transformers top weekend’s box office.

Ice Age: Dawn of the Dinosaurs and Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen, lead this weekend’s box office race, each taking in $42.5 million. Final numbers won’t be in for a day or two, so either could leap ahead when all is said and done.

Otherwise, no surprises. Public Enemies did good – but not great (sort of like the reviews). Like Ice Age, Public Enemies actually opened last Wednesday. The Proposal and the Hangover both are holding up well – with Hangover topping the $200 million mark. The Proposal should top the $100 million next week. Year One is just about off the charts, and is officially a bomb. Transformers didn’t quite make it $300 million, but it will in the next few days.
