Diane Dimond on the Michael Jackson Tribute

Diane Dimond reports on the Michael Jackson memorial tribute from the Staples Center in Los Angeles, along with "The Insider"'s Lara Spencer.

"The Insider" has already confirmed that Kobe Bryant, Mariah Carey, Jennifer Hudson, John Mayer, Lionel Richie, Smokey Robinson, Brooke Shields and Stevie Wonder will be among the star-studded turnout for Tuesday memorial.

But how about his children?

"Don't know about the children," Diane tells Lara. "It would be good for them for closure, but it may be way too much attention for them at this time. Certainly, I would think they would go to the private funeral, as for the memorial, not for sure."

Diane goes on to tell Lara that when Michael is actually buried, she believes it will be a very private ceremony, but as for Tuesday's tribute, she says, "I think this memorial is for everybody and I don't think the Jackson family will miss this for the world. I expect they will be at this memorial."

Once that is done, however, the custody battle for Michael's three children will begin.

"I think this could be one of the ugliest custody battles we have ever seen," she says. "If Katherine Jackson digs in and Debbie Rowe digs in, and the nanny gets involved, and, perhaps, the sperm donor, it could be one of the ugliest things we have ever seen."

Diane says that Katherine Jackson is going to fight for the children and she says that the Jackson family would be really smart to join forces with the children's former nanny, Grace Rwaramba.

"They love her dearly," Diane says of the nanny. "She is a younger, more vibrant woman. If Katherine Jackson said, 'Come take care of the children with me as a family unit, not split them up,' I think a judge would look on that very kindly.'
