Dame Elizabeth Taylor Tweets on Jackson Memorial

Dame Elizabeth Taylor has tweeted about her plans for tomorrow's public Michael Jackson memorial.

She tweeted Monday: "I've been asked to speak at the Staples Center. I cannot be part of the public whoopla." She wrote a couple of minutes later, "And I cannot guarantee that I would be coherent to say a word." Then, she wrote a minute later, "I just don't believe that Michael would want me to share my grief with millions of others. How I feel is between us. Not a public event."

She then wrote, "I said I wouldn't go to the Staples Center and I certainly don't want to become a part of it. I love him too much." She followed that up with, "My love goes out to [Michael's mother] Katherine and Michael's beloved children."

"The Insider" can also debunk a rumor going around -- a source tells us that Dame Elizabeth never asked [Michael's doctor], Dr. Conrad Murray, to be her doctor in London while seeing Michael.

  • The only things we know for sure about Michael Jackson are that he was a genius and that no one truly understood him. Condolences to his family, to Elizabeth Taylor and to others who actually knew him and loved him.

  • I noticed that Elizabeth Taylor's love went out to Michael's mother and his children. She sent no love at all to his father, and I don't blame her. She knew of all the abuse he suffered at his dad's hands. Elizabeth and Michael were both cheated out...
