Judith Ivey's theater schedule gets even busier

The Roundabout Theatre Company says the actress will play domineering mother Amanda Wingfield in a revival of "The Glass Menagerie." The classic Tennessee Williams memory play opens March 24 at the Roundabout's Laura Pels Theatre. Previews begin March 4.

This summer, Ivey, a two-time Tony winner, is directing the musical "Vanities," opening July 16 at off-Broadway's Second Stage Theatre.

And in the fall, the 57-year-old Ivey will portray legendary problem-solving columnist Ann Landers in "The Lady With All the Answers." David Rambo's play is drawn from Landers' life and letters. The one-woman show begins performances Oct. 7 at the Cherry Lane Theatre.
