WE hope he has better luck with his TV patients, because ER star John Stamos admits he could have killed off his "career after coming to Australia," - part of yet another bizarre outburst which saw him sent home to the US yesterday.
Channel 9 was forced to cut short Stamos' media schedule for the medical drama after he went on a second tirade in two days, during an appearance on Kerri-Ann Kennerley's morning show yesterday. The 38-year-old reacted violently to Confidential's claims he was bleary-eyed, staggering and slurring during an interview with TV writer Stephen Downie.
The former Full House heartthrob went on the attack when Kennerley asked about his tired and emotional condition, which network publicists had earlier tried to pass off as "jet lag.''
After calling on Australia's Greek community to boycott this paper over his treatment, he then turned on KAK herself, insulting the TV star's outfit and gyrating around with one of the show's studio props thrust in front of his penis.
Stamos also talked continuously about alcohol during the trainwreck television moment.
Besides insulting Downie over the article, he likened himself to Elvis and the late Princess Diana when prattling on about people who have died, saying "who else has died? My career after coming to Australia.''
His media meltdown on Monday made its way around the gossip world yesterday, after Confidential posted footage of the interview with Downie online.
