JOHN STAMOS APOLOGISES TO AUSTRALIA

ER star John Stamos has publicly apologised for his behaviour before the Australian media after severe jet-lag left him exhausted and unfit for interviews.
The US TV star upset journalists with his sloppy attire and drousy demeanour - slurring his way through interviews staged to promote the new season of ER Down Under.
His bizarre behaviour continued on Tuesday as he attempted to explain why he had appeared incoherent to TV host Kerri-Ann Kennerley.
During the show, the actor called on Australia's Greek community to boycott The Daily Telegraph over their report of his press conference appearance. He then verbally attacked his host, criticising her outfit and gyrating around with a studio prop in an inappropriate manner. John also compared himself to Elvis Presley and Diana, Princess Of Wales, stating, 'Who else has died? My career after coming to Australia.'
TV executives were so unimpressed with the actor's attitude they cancelled a string of interviews scheduled for this week and sent him home.
In a statement released yesterday, John's publicist says, 'John has been travelling extensively for the past few weeks in Greece, Egypt and Tokyo and had a difficult time adjusting to the time difference in Australia, which, in turn, led to many sleepless nights. He acknowledges that his behaviour was completely out of character during these interviews and apologises.'
