Britney Realized She Couldn't Do Cyndi Lauper Tour Appearance Because She Doesn't Actually Sing

It's been confirmed that Britney Spears WAS invited to appear on Cyndi Lauper's True Colors tour stop on the west coast. But sources say she declined because Cyndi Lauper doesn't allow lip-synching on her stage. Cyndi needs to ease up, what if there were fabulous costumes, or choreography?

Anyone hoping to see Britney Spears perform at Cyndi Lauper's True Colors tour at L.A.'s Greek Theater on Saturday will be sorely disappointed. Spears' choreographer, Misha Gabriel, told People magazine she would hit the stage with Lauper, Rosie O'Donnell, Erasure, Debbie Harry and The MisShapes. But a source told Page Six, "There's no way. Britney said she would only dance or lip-sync - and to be on stage with Cyndi, you have to actually perform.

Keep reading for what a rep from the tour had to say.

A rep for the tour has stated that Britney was actually invited to appear at the Las Vegas stop, but they never heard back from her. Probably because Ocean State Job Lot was having a two for one flip-flops sale. Also, it probably isn't safe for an artist to give a disappointing performance anymore. J. Harvey was at the Morrissey show here in Boston on Tuesday night. Morrissey came out, sounded great, did about five songs. Then started complaining about how David Letterman's studio was too cold, and his voice was suffering from it. Then he left! And sent some bitch to cancel the show! WHAT? I've never seen so many effete record store employees, and aging former rockabilly punks get so angry! Britney's wise. Morrissey fans will merely snarl and hurl withering insults and cry on blogs about it. Britney's fans are gay men and drunk girls. Who can snap on you!
