Custody hearing over Michael Jackson’s kids postponed

A custody hearing for temporary guardianship of Jacko’s three children has been rescheduled.

The hearing, due to have taken place on Monday July 13, has been rescheduled for July 20 at the request of both Katherine Jackson and Debbie Rowe.

“All prior orders remain in full force and effect, with Katherine Jackson as temporary guardian of the children,” according to a Los Angeles Superior Court statement.

Jacko’s three children - Prince Michael I, 12, Paris, 11, and Prince Michael II, better known as Blanket, seven - have been living with their grandmother Katherine at the Jackson family compound in Encino, California, home since the death of the Thriller singer on June 25.

Katherine Jackson was awarded temporary guardianship, just days after Jacko’s death after filing the necessary paperwork with the Los Angeles court.

It has been reported that Rowe, Prince and Paris’ biological mother, wants custody of her children, while Blanket’s mother has never been identified.

However, Rowe has not filed a petition for temporary guardianship, says a courthouse spokesperson. Last week, Rowe’s attorney Eric George, said: “The truth is that Debbie has not reached a final decision concerning the pending custody proceedings.”

Katherine was named the guardian of his three children in Jacko’s will, which was revealed last week and a source close to the family revealed: “They will fight.”
