Madonna is reportedly scheduled today to visit some of the workers in Marseilles, France who were injured while constructing a stage for her current tour. The Material Mom will visit some or all of the more seriously injured workers, residing at three different hospitals, who were hurt when the stage set they were constructing collapsed, according to People.com. Two men -- a French lighting technician and a British worker -- have died as a result of the accident. Eight or more were sent to hospitals.
Madonna has canceled the concert in Marseilles, originally set for today, and spoke out earlier about the incident, saying she was "devastated" by the event. A criminal investigation is said to be underway into the cause of the accident.
Madonna's next stop on the tour is in Barcelona on July 21.
