Whitney Houston previews her new CD

The Associated Press
NEW YORK (AP) — Whitney Houston says the support of her daughter helped fuel her as she geared up for her comeback record.

The 44-year-old singer is releasing "I Look to You" on Sept. 1. It's her first album in years.

On Tuesday, she premiered several tracks before an audience that included her 15-year-old daughter Bobbi Kristina, her mother, cousin Dionne Warwick, Alicia Keys and Diane Sawyer.

Houston says her daughter encouraged her, and kept telling her she could succeed.

  • I love her new CD. She is very talented. I admire her effort to bounce back up from pain and haters. Most Americans are like that we don't give up easily and we fight through persecution. God Blessings to Whitney.
