Felicity Huffman will be signing copies of her new book, "A Practical Handbook for the Boyfriend", tonight at Barnes and Noble Fifth Avenue. It's sort of the Desperate Housewives' version of Kim Catrall's orgasm book, but only better. (I'm thinking her marriage will probably outlast the tour.) [Link]

Claire Danes is starring in a new dance piece, "Edith and Jenny", at Performance Space from now until February 4th. Evidently she's friends with the choreographer or something, but that's a moot point for the rest of us: Only $20 to see Claire Danes dance? [Link]

It's a shame that all that buzz about Keane's died down a bit lately, but their concert on Friday night at The Wiltern should still be out of this world. If you can't make it, watch them perform on Ellen this afternoon instead. I know that's what I'll be doing... [Link]

Get in line at Borders on Sunday and meet famed Oprah trainer Bob Greene as he reads from his latest book, "The Best Life Diet". The book's basically full of secrets about Oprah's skinny side, so expect large crowds -- and equally large lines. [Link]

Chicago:

Director David Lynch is making appearances at two of the Chicago screenings for his latest film, "Inland Empire", at the Music Box Theatre this weekend. Both are on Saturday, but the midnight one might be especially cool - either way, reserving tickets online is a must. [Link]

Larry the Cable Guy is doing a double-header Saturday night at the Rosemont Theatre, but liking his shtick's definitely required. Nothing's sold out yet, but there's still time to look alive, Chicago. Otherwise you'll have to hit up the Canadian leg of his tour. [Link]

Jazz trumpeter Chris Botti, known best to some as Katie Couric's former flame, is performing at The Chicago Theatre at 8:00 on Sunday night. Tickets are pricey, but it's worth it to get to know the guy for the things more valuable than Katie. [Link]
