According to FBI Special Agent Gary Johnson there was a dispute between a ‘male passenger’ and a woman on the flight over the male passenger’s foot resting on the woman’s armrest. During the argument the woman gave the male passenger a ‘minor shove’. Agent Johnson wouldn’t confirm that the male passenger was Aiken. Tulsa Airport Authority spokeswoman Alexis Higgins said the passengers were held until FBI agents arrived to interview them. No injuries were reported and no arrests were made.
Those attending the concert yesterday said afterward that Aiken joked on-stage about being beaten up by a girl earlier in the day.
I travel fairly regularly on flights around the country and there is nothing more rude than fellow travelers who don’t respect each others personal space on an airplane. It’s bad enough that someone edges out an armrest away from you, but it’s definitely crossing the line when it’s your nasty, smelly, ‘Idol’ foot.
Of course we could go down the path about Clay’s rumored ‘lifestyle’ which is possibly a reason for his attitude against the female passenger. Or it could be he’s just a selfish twit. I’m giving him the benefit of the doubt that he’s not gay.
In the current issue of People Magazine, Clay responds to accusations about being gay:
“What do you say (to that question)? … It’s like when I was 8. I remember something would get broken in the house, and Mom and Dad would call me in and say, ‘Did you do this?’ Well, it didn’t matter what I said. The only thing they would believe was yes. … People are going to believe what they want.”
Conclusion: Selfish twit that can sing.
