Grammer misses parole hearing for sister's killer

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. (AP) — "Frasier" star Kelsey Grammer has missed a parole hearing for the man convicted of killing his sister in 1975.

Grammer planned to attend the hearing Monday at a state prison in Limon, 90 miles southeast of Denver, but state Department of Corrections spokeswoman Brandie Vansickle says he was not there.

She had no other details.

Efforts to find a spokesperson for Grammer were not immediately successful.

Fifty-two-year-old Freddie Glenn is serving a life sentence for first-degree murder in the slaying of Karen Grammer. He became eligible for parole in 2006.

Eighteen-year-old Karen Grammer was abducted, raped and stabbed in Colorado Springs on July 1, 1975.

Colorado law no longer allows parole in life sentences for first-degree murder, but Glenn was convicted before the law was changed.
