A source close to the couple revealed: “Gavin is gutted that he got caught out, but Charlotte isn’t listening to any of his excuses.

“She is very angry at the moment and, when she found out, she flew into a rage.”

She appears not to be the only one either. Charlotte’s equally feisty mother Maria has reportedly been on the phone to Gavin following a Sunday newspaper’s revelation that he kissed Tracy at the La Mon Hotel and Country Club on the outskirts of Belfast.

Gavin and Tracy reportedly met in the city’s Thompsons Garage nightspot.

This weekend the blonde shopgirl admitted: “It was a drunken snog, or two, or three.”

Gavin was with his Wales teammates after a match against the Ospreys.

The gang of players were said to be chatting to Tracy and her friends before inviting them back to the hotel.

Charlotte’s mother is said to have called Henson several times from France, where she now lives with her boyfriend James.

The source said: “Maria has been yelling down the phone at him. She is very, very protective of her daughter, so understandably she is livid.

“She is disappointed in Gavin. She thought that he was a lovely boy but she now knows that she is wrong. She is devastated for Charlotte.”

Charlotte threw Gavin out of the house they shared, and moved a friend in to keep her company during the last months of her pregnancy.
